Gandhinagar History and Location

Located in the western part of India, Gandhinagar is the capital of Gujarat. It is situated on the banks of the Sabarmati river. It is also known as the greenest city in India and in the beautiful city of Ahmedabad, which has become a tourist site, too. People who visit Ahmedabad Gandhinagar become a must, too. Is only 30 km from Ahmedabad. It was built by Sultan Ahmed Shah.

Places to visit

The most popular of Gandia is the Akshardham temple. It is a beautiful work of art with beautiful stone carvings in pink. Around the temple are lush gardens and freshwater sources. They also organize events for the night which also attracts many tourists. The Swaminarayan temple is dedicated. About 18 km south of Gandia, is another place of attraction known as Adlaj Ni Vav was built by Rani Rudrabai the 15th century. The Vav called in Gujarat is a good time, which is carved with beautiful floral motifs.
